tune toys

This website is basically bad ass.

I checked out the Web tones portions and found this to be  particularly interesting.  Supposedly you type in a website and it takes the HTML information and converts that into a musical composition. You then choose a various things for it such as the pitch, the key it plays in, and even the instrument. After that you enter the website and listen to that websites internal jam. I think this is an awesome idea especially if the compositions are really drawn from the websites code. However I don't know if I'm smart enough to really check that and make sure that the jams are really being drawn from the website.
I listened to my blogs internal song and was a little disappointed... I was expecting more roaring guitar solos and double bass. However it was still a sexy tune.  Each and every website that i tried out had a very sporadic yet unified (this was resolved in setting the key initially) sound to it.  Very interesting indeed.

Lets just sit and think

This interactive project was a blast. Honestly I thought it was going to suck at first. I really dislike group assignments and I didn't think we we're going to get a good reaction from the student body, and therefore thought the entire process was going to stink.

But wait.

We had a surplus of enthusiastic students ready and willing to help us out and score some sweet ass photos.  And by sweet as photos I mean really well edited and hilarious pictures. the project was a success.

I think a big part of it was my team. we stuck together, communicated really well and worked easily with each other. The project felt very natural and was even a lot of fun.

I like the idea of making art for a wide array of people and getting them involved even.  Each picture has the similar backgrounds and even characters but the inclusion of the student  participant adds a whole new life to the piece.  They got to be the directors of their own photo and added personality.

The other team (teamweakerthan) had the same things going for them. their project was all about the personality, or reaction, of the student participant. I think the best part about both teams' projects is to be able to go to a blog and see all of the photos as collection rather than the student only getting to see their own picture.

I would like to incorporate the student body into some more of my projects for maximum inter-activeness It's definitely challenging getting the enthusiasm and participation of the students but well worth it.

For the presidential campaign project I was in charge of the masks

Here's me cutting

This project went over a lot better than I ever imagined. I was expecting only a few people to show up but instead we got 50 billion thousand. It was kind of crazy during the photo shoot but the pay off was worth it I got to meet a lot a cool folks.

Editing the pictures kind of sucked... but then again there are children starving.. so i'll shut my mouth.

Holy hell

Here's what I came up with.

Everything about this was a pain in the ass to do.
but mainly I had problems with my variable.
I figured out how to get it to go up consecutively but I couldn't make different scores have different effects.
But the point was after annoying the audience long enough with a terrible solo you gradually get different sorts of objects thrown at you.

kind of like this:

anyways I added sound because i figured I should to something unexpected to make up for the fact I could not get the other junk to work.

Peace out Im sleepin

IF I can't do this right THEN does that mean I fail?

Sup biscuit heads.

I'd like everyone to meet Bill.

Bill loves beer to such degree that he has to take his shirt off or he'll get sweaty.

Yeah I know right pretty damn awesome.

The only problem is I tried using a counter and it didn't necessarily work. I mean I could tell that it was recognizing the code but when the counter equaled 5 beers consumed I wanted it to play the puke scene. Instead it just would stop completely. I'm not sure what was up. In any case I rigged it so that way the right most beer triggers him to puke even if it's his first one.

Which will work for now.

And that's about it. I don't know what else to say really.

except that Bill's pretty bad ass.
